CAMRAS PROJECT RESULTS PRESENTED

The final meeting of CAMRAS project was held in Larisa, Greece between 29 October – 1 November 2024 within the scope of the ‘Increase The Capacity of Migrant and Refugees in Agriculture Sector-CAMRAS’ project, which is being carried out within the scope of Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships Vocational Training Program (KA220-VET-000089931) under the coordination of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, in partnership with Trend Education Association (TENGO) and Kahramanmaraş Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry.

The meeting hosted by the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (IED) was attended by Ali Kıraç, project coordinator of Trend Education Association. Local and transnational project partners attended the meeting where the training platform where online trainings will be held was examined and the necessary feedback was shared with the partners. The training materials to be shared with the participants during the trainings were uploaded to the platform and tested. In addition, work was carried out on the final version of the training materials and documents related to the platform user manuals.

The meeting was an important meeting for the project activities by finalizing the project outputs. It provided a platform for partners to share their experiences and awareness gained during the CAMRAS project. Special attention was paid to the evaluation of the business portal developed during the project, which aims to facilitate the integration of migrants and refugees into the agricultural sector. On the last day, certificates of participation were awarded to recognize the contribution of the project team in achieving the project’s objectives.

Conclusion:

The “Capacity Building of Migrants and Refugees in the Agricultural Sector” (CAMRAS) project aims to create better employment opportunities for migrants and refugees, help improve their living standards and facilitate their integration into the host society. As part of the project, an employment and learning platform for jobseekers and employers in the agricultural sector will soon be available to users.
