Increase the Capacıty of Mıgrant and Refugees in Agrıculture Sector: The CAMRAS Project

The overall objectives of the CAMRAS project are to provide professional training to Migrants and Refugees (M/R), enable better employment opportunities and living conditions, and develop the knowledge, skills and capacity to help fast-track integration to hosted communities. The specific goals of the Project are to enhance the knowledge, skills and capacities related to agricultural production of M/Rs who work or want to work in the agricultural sector.

Breaking Barriers, Forging Success: Contribution capacity and social integration

Through the project, M/Rs will be able to gradually receive qualification as workforce by participating in training that provides them with knowledge, skills and equipment, and they will find employment in the agricultural sector more easily. By earning a regular income, their standards of living will increase and they will be integrated into society in a better way.

What makes our project innovative: Innovative ways of the Camras

Views and perspectives of the M/Rs and the employers are taken into account and considered at all decision stages of generating a qualified workforce for the agricultural sector.

Developing an inclusive and participatory e-learning platform in the field of agricultural education, Round table meetings and workshops with governmental organization, Universities and non- governmental organization.

A further innovation is provided by the online platform, which will be introduced on social media accounts; this platform allows M/Rs worldwide to access educational videos and notes easily. Adding a further innovative component, visitors of the platform will have the opportunity to express their views in surveys inviting them to assess the offered education.

What will the participants gain?

Through these online and face-to-face learning courses participants will gain:

•increase awareness of the existing EU tools for skills assessment/ fostering entrepreneurship

•develop the knowledge, skills and capacities of trainers about the needs of M/R in the agriculture sector

•to provide access to the database on the platform to employers and job seekers to promote the swift integration of refugees into the labor market.
