CAMRAS Kick-off Meeting

Online opening meeting of the project CAMRAS”Increase The Capacity of Migrant and Refugees in Agriculture Sector”, which was accepted within the scope of ERASMUS+ Vocational Training Programme under the coordination of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, was held.

The Kick-off meeting of the project was held on 14.07.2023 under the coordination of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Prof. Dr. Emine İKİKAT TÜMER. Local partners of the project TENGO Education Association, Kahramanmaraş Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and international partners AMSED (France), IDSL (Spain), IED (Greece) and ILA (Netherlands) participated in the meeting.

Aim of the Project are

• to enhance the knowledge, skills and capacities related to agricultural production of Migrants/Refugees older than 18 who work or want to work in the agricultural sector

• to determine the characteristics of qualified workforce in the sector

• to improve and enhance the capacity and skills of trainers

• to develop an online platform, to deliver online education and increase its visibility

• to provide access to the database on the platform to employers and job seekers

• to deliver online training to enhance the capacity of M/Rs

• to contribute to the agricultural and economic development of the host country of the M/R’s

• to prepare a guidebook about the agricultural sector

• to raise M/Rs’ awareness of natural sources in agricultural production and the need to protect the

At the Kick off meeting, the tasks and responsibilities between the partners were determined for the effective and efficient implementation of the project activities, and project management strategies were developed together with local and international partners based on literature review and field studies to identify the needs of the target groups.
