Be a WINNER!

This month of May marks the start of the WINNER entrepreneurship training program for women with the first open call for participants. Attendance is limited to 20 women, allowing for more individual support and attention by the trainers and mentors.  

What’s it all about?

WINNER is a European Union funded project that promotes the inclusion of women in entrepreneurship through innovative social practices.  This Erasmus+ project aims to address the lack of training, age discrimination, insufficient networks and the perceived gender stereotypes that hinder women from entering the world of entrepreneurship.  

It Takes an International Village

Through the efforts of an international project team representing 7 countries, the WINNER entrepreneurship training program has been designed exclusively for women interested in entrepreneurship and the business practices that will enable them to pursue the establishment of a business of their own. 

The following organizations have combined their experience and know-how to develop and carry out the WINNER project:

Who Can Apply?

Participation in the WINNER entrepreneurship training program is open to women over 18 years old who:

• Live in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey. 
• Are interested in participating in an entrepreneurial project. 
• Are facing:  economic; social,, geographical, disability or discrimination. 
• Are motivated and able to commit to active participation in the WINNER project over the next two years.

What will the participants do?

The women selected to attend the WINNER entrepreneurial training program will learn all aspects of entrepreneurship. They will actively participate in all WINNER activities under the mentoring support of women who are established entrepreneurs in their communities. The activities include their participation in workshops, providing feedback and participation in an 8 week hackathon, where they will work in groups to develop a specific concept, product or service, with support from experienced mentors. 

What Will I Gain?

The participants in the WINNER entrepreneurship training program will: 

· Develop digital skills and the following entrepreneurial skills: Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Change-making and Social-emotional skills. 

· Gain a certificate verifying their attendance, participation and dedication to WINNER training.

· Expand their network by increasing their connection and collaboration with their peers and   mentors. 

· Participate in an 8 week hackathon, where project teams will be formed to use their newly acquired skills to develop their business concepts. 

At the end of the hackathon, three winning teams and their projects will be chosen. The winning projects will receive dissemination support. The participants will be part of a women’s network dedicated to their professional development and growth.
